Still Time to Register for My ACS Panel!
ACS Panel

Next Wednesday I will be part of an ACS panel at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network's Northern Ohio 2018 Policy Forum.

I am honored to be speaking on this panel with some very distinguished industry experts and to an impressive group of people. The event will bring together key leaders and decision-makers in government, business, research, and academia to discuss key barriers to clinical trial enrollment and potential public policy solutions to these challenges.

If you're in the Northeast Ohio area, I encourage you to check out our ACS panel. There's still time to register! As a sneak peak, here are two highlights I plan to touch on during the panel:

  • Clinical Research Accrual, Standard 1.9, requires cancer programs to refer a required percentage of patients to cancer-related clinical research studies each calendar year.
  • Patient Navigation Process, Standard 3.1, requires cancer programs to provide resources, either on-site or by referral, to address identified barriers.

At this ACS panel, I am looking forward to shedding light on how cancer registries can be a strategic partner with cancer programs and set the stage for a valuable information exchange between physicians and administrators. Will you be in attendance? If not, stay tuned to our blog for a recap later this month!

Request one of CHAMPS Oncology’s cancer registry experts to speak at your next event.
