This month’s Registry Rock Star is Hazel Cade, RHIT, CTR, cancer information specialist for CHAMPS Oncology.
Hazel Cade has been working in the cancer registry profession for 12 years. Hazel originally worked as a registered health information technician until a friend suggested working in the cancer registry. Since joining the profession, she has found the work more fulfilling.

During her free time, Hazel’s favorite thing to do is read and listen to audiobooks.
Her hometown is Columbus, Ohio.
The number one item on her bucket list is to visit Cuba!
Her favorite rock ‘n’ roll star is Curtis Mayfield.

What’s your favorite part about working in the cancer registry?
CHAMPS Oncology will attend, exhibit and present at the National Cancer Registrar Association's (NCRA) 46th Annual Educational Conference that is taking place Monday, Sept. 21 through Wednesday, Sept. 23.
CHAMPS Oncology Regional Manager Amanda Harvey-McKee, BA, CTR, will be presenting during the Registry Management Symposium portion of the conference.
