Meet July’s Registry Rock Star: Barb

Cancer Registry Fact: Using cancer registry data, planners focus activities in places that needit the most. That means more cancers can be caught and treated early, leading to fewer deaths.

Barb has been working in the cancer registry profession for six and a half years. She decided to become a CTR to help improve cancer care and pave the way to a cure. This profession has become even more special to Barb since her sister was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in January 2019. She believes the work CTRs do is pertinent to cancer treatments across the nation.
