Joining CHAMPS Oncology's Team of Cancer Registry Partners
Just a few months ago I was preparing for my interview with CHAMPS Oncology’s leadership team and decided to look up their website to learn more about the organization. What I found was informative and engaging. As I navigated their site I became even more intrigued with the services that CHAMPS Oncology provides – especially as cancer registry partners to individual hospitals and large healthcare systems. By the time my interview arrived I was even more excited about the prospect of working for an organization that is committed to providing such high-quality services to its clients.
Let me introduce myself…
My name is Vontyna Smith, and I have dedicated the last decade of my life working in the oncology industry, specifically clinical research and cancer registries. My passion for working in oncology is as a result of a long family history of cancer. I have witnessed family members travel through the journey of cancer diagnosis, treatment and remission. And, unfortunately, have seen some lose their difficult battle with cancer. Through these experiences I learned the value of cancer programs and the services they provide to patients.
What attracted me to CHAMPS Oncology is their long-standing reputation with cancer programs, not just within the Cleveland area, but also nationally. I was energized by the testimonials from healthcare providers across the country on CHAMPS’ website. They used the following words to describe the cancer registry services that CHAMPS Oncology provides:
And from my experience this past month as CHAMPS Oncology’s new director of client operations, those words couldn’t be more appropriate. We work with individual hospitals and large healthcare systems as their cancer registry partners, using a customized approach to develop strategies and solutions unique to each cancer program we serve. This approach allows us to develop a partnership with each of our clients that optimizes resources focused on improving the care cancer patients receive.
Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself here on our blog. I am excited to get to know each of our clients as I work with them in the months to come and look forward to connecting with our readers regularly here at oncologyoutlook.com.
