CHAMPS Group Purchasing and Texas Health Resources Launch Contract for Outsourced Supply Chain Data Base Administration

CHAMPS Group PurchasingTexasHealthResources announces the launch of a three-year custom contract with Texas Health Supply Chain Services (THSCS) for Outsourced Supply Chain Data Base Administration, procurement services, integration, maintenance and support. This contract is available to all CHAMPS members nationwide, but surgery centers, imaging centers and physicians benefit the most from the technology.

“CHAMPS is proud to add Texas Health Supply Chain Services to our growing portfolio of supply chain technology contracts,” said Jan Elder, director of contracting services, CHAMPS Group Purchasing. “THSCS’ service is ideally suited to the demographics of our membership and allows each member to select the level of service it needs. Our aggregated price list places CHAMPS’ members at the top tier, assuring them the greatest value for this key service.”

The CHAMPS/THSCS contract offers three levels of service:

  • Procurement Portal - Database administration for nine different modules, including item masters, POs, account numbers and vendor files
  • Baseline Services - Project management, implementation support and ongoing training for Procurement Portal
  • Full Service - Includes Procurement Portal and Baseline service, plus ERP/GL integration and maintenance, PO confirmations and backorder notices, as well as report building and AP support
“We’re so excited to work with CHAMPS,” said Nate Mickish, senior director of Texas Health Supply Chain Services, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Texas Health Resources, one of the country’s largest non-profit health systems. “Our goal is to bring flexible technology and a superior service model to the community and to customers who don’t necessarily fit the profile of a larger ERP customer base. A significant portion of CHAMPS members will benefit greatly from the supply chain solutions that THSCS has to offer. We know that we have the right technology and the right service model to support facilities across the continuum of care.”

“The ultimate goal of THSCS is to provide reliable, transparent and cost-effective supply chain services to its customer’s year over year,” said Mickish. “We’re confident we can do this because we’ve built the right supply chain service model and we’re powered by fantastic technology: ENVI, an IOS product with 13 years of product maturity.  We’re grateful for the partnership we’ve forged with CHAMPS and others, and we look forward to bringing measurable value to their members.”
