CHAMPS Oncology Reveals Article Featured in NCRA Connection

NCRA ConnectionCHAMPS Oncology is pleased to reveal its featured article “Promoting the Cancer Registry Profession from Home: Six Tips to Staying Connected” published in the NCRA Connection Summer 2014 Edition

In the NCRA Connection article, Lori Travers, RHIT, CTR, client services manager for CHAMPS Oncology, examines the challenges CTRs face, such as trying to promote and advance the cancer registry profession, when shifting from hospital to home office. She stresses the importance of staying connected, regardless of office location.

Travers writes, “Today, it’s more important than ever to recognize that our role as CTRs is more than just ensuring that the cancer registry is populated with high-quality data; we must also promote the value and importance of our profession.”

She also stresses the importance of staying connected, regardless of office location.

Travers states, “Registrars who are intentionally engaged are recognized as assets to the organizations they serve, and their leaders are more likely to recognize the importance and true value of the cancer registry.”

Discover her six tips to staying connected on page 16 of the NCRA Connection. Contact us if you’d like to learn more about the role of a cancer registrar.
