Toni Hare's Keynote Presentation at Georgia Conference Focuses on Quality Cancer Care

Quality Cancer Care PresentationCHAMPS Oncology’s Vice President Toni Hare, RHIT, CTR, CoC-trained Consultant, was the invited keynote speaker at The Georgia Center for Oncology Research and Education (CORE) Best and Promising in Quality Cancer Care Conference Nov. 27, 2012.

The conference was designed for multi-disciplinary representatives of Commission on Cancer (CoC) accredited programs in Georgia. Toni shared her presentation, Leveraging Your Cancer Registry: A Strategy for Survey Success, with nearly 130 attendees, which included cancer center leaders, cancer liaison physicians, oncologists, nurses, social workers, genetic counselors, patient navigators and cancer registrars.

“It was an amazing experience,” Hare said. “I’m so grateful they asked me to speak. I was excited to share our information and pleased with the attendees’ interest in quality cancer care.”

Hare was asked to speak because of her article, “Mastering the Juggling Act of Multiple Cancer Program Accreditations” which was a Spring 2012 Oncology Issues cover story for the Association of Community Cancer Centers.

Georgia CORE was created in 2003 as a catalyst to increase access to clinical trials that are the hallmark of excellence in quality cancer care. It has developed a collaborative, multi-disciplinary research network that conducts clinical trials that test new and promising cancer treatments.
